What toilet should I buy?
Customers interested in replacing their toilets are often overwhelmed by the options. Jackson Plumbing Inc. keeps it simple by doing the research for you and knowing answers to your common questions. We stock three standard toilets that will help meet your plumbing needs.
Toilet Information
The Gerber Viper – The Gerber Viper is a round-front (the bowl is shaped like an ‘O’), standard-height (15 inches) toilet in white finish. The Viper sits at about fifteen inches off the ground and is the lowest toilet. Because this toilet holds up well against high-traffic and heavy wear-and-tear, landlords often prefer this toilet in their rental units. Like most toilets, it uses 1.28 gallons per flush. This toilet comes in a standard rough-in (12 inches) and short rough-in* (10 inches). Other finishes of the toilet are available upon special order request. See the Viper here.
* Please note the 10 inch rough Viper sits shorter at 14 ¾ inches.
The Kohler Cimarron – The Kohler Cimarron is a round-front (the bowl is shaped like an ‘O’), comfort height (16 ½ inches) toilet in white finish. The Cimarron is an excellent toilet for personal residential usage; Scott Jackson, the president and owner of Jackson Plumbing, has two of them in his own house. The Cimarron comes with a one-year manufacturer limited warranty. Other finishes are available upon special order request. See the Cimarron here.
The Gerber Avalanche – The Gerber Avalanche is an ADA-compliant toilet with an elongated (oval) bowl. The tallest toilet that we stock, it sits at 17 ½ inches. It is similar to what you might find in a public restroom. The Avalanche comes with a limited lifetime warranty. We stock it in white, and is available in other finishes. See the Avalanche here.
